Krystal Yamamoto is a 350HR Trauma Informed Yoga Teacher based in Tasmania Australia with teaching experience spread throughout studio, retreat and teacher training settings throughout Asia and Australia, but foremost a devoted student of over 15 years. She received her 50HR Advanced certification in Yin Yoga under the guidance of Hugh Lee in Melbourne Australia and completed her 100 HR Trauma Informed Teacher Training (TT) and Sound Healing training in Kathmandu Nepal. Krystal completed her 200 HR TT under the mentorship of Tanya Popovich and continues to develop this relationship under the umbrella of Shri Gaia Institute. Her personal practice is rooted in the spiritual teachings that stem from Yogic philosophy, and views the path of Yoga as a journey that facilitates transformative self-healing. Krystal’s classes are alignment focused to emphasise the importance of cultivating a safe practice; nurturing to prioritise compassion towards self and others; and mindful in the belief that when an individual is truly present they can allow themselves to feel attuned to the felt sense of true embodiment and oneness. She identifies as an ‘agent for social change’ and is active in several humanitarian, environmental, animal liberation and social injustice movements within Australia. As a Yogini, Karma Yoga is the centralised theme that both defines and fuels her personal practice.
