Tim’s yoga journey began over 20 years ago studying Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi and Qi Gung. In 2001 he completed Yoga Teacher Training at the Creative Health Institute in Brisbane. After moving to Sydney, Tim broadened his knowledge with a Diploma in Shiatsu Massage Therapy from Nature Care College, and also became a qualified Pilates instructor. While teaching yoga and Pilates in Sydney, Tim was also immersed in studying Buddhism at the Australian Institute of Tibetan Healing Practices. Tim’s yoga teaching style reflects this wholistic background, often combining elements to suit his students and class themes.
Over the years Tim’s yoga practice has changed and matured with the responsibilities that come with raising a family and paying a mortgage. Throughout this time, his yoga practice has been a source of joy, contentment, and inspiration, and Tim brings this dedication and enthusiasm to his teaching. He believes that yoga is a deeply personal experience, and although it can be challenging, Tim encourages students to find that space where it is first and foremost a loving, warm and fun experience. Tim now calls Bendigo home and teaches at YogaHara. He is a registered member of Yoga Australia.
