Join us for an accessible introduction to Forrest Yoga, a practice designed to build strength, awareness and a deeper connection to yourself. Guided by the four pillars of Breath, Strength, Integrity and Spirit, this one-hour class invites you to explore the body with curiosity, intention and presence. We’ll explore key characteristics of Forrest Yoga, including holding poses for longer, using breath to create space and awareness, and working with physical and emotional triggers rather than simply moving around them. The practice also considers yoga for the modern body — addressing the ways our contemporary lifestyles can affect how we move, breathe and feel. Expect a grounding, empowering practice that encourages you to listen inwardly, meet yourself where you are, and discover how yoga can support greater resilience, authenticity and connection.

In the Iyengar tradition, alignment is about far more than how a posture looks. Through precision, awareness and intelligent action, we create a stable foundation that supports the nervous system, improves breathing, relieves tension and allows energy to flow more freely throughout the body. And most fundamentally, when looking from a deeper philosophical perspective, how does alignment affect the flow of Prana through the nadis (river systems in the body), and the chakras?Come and find out!

Rather than searching outside ourselves for a sense of fulfilment, this practice invites us to pause and connect with the quiet contentment that can be found in the present moment.Throughout the class, gentle reflections and affirmations will be offered as contemplative touchstones, inviting you to cultivate gratitude for what you have, acceptance of where you are and compassion for yourself just as you are. A 40–45 minute talk, some asanas, followed by an open Q&A — suitable for all levels,This workshop brings together two perspectives on something that doesn't get talked about enough in yoga spaces: what it's actually like to practice yoga when your brain works a little differently. One of us lives with ADHD and has experienced first-hand how yoga changed the way she moves through the world. The other is a psychologist and yoga teacher who can explain why — what's happening in the brain, what the research says, and how the nervous system benefits of yoga map directly onto the challenges that come with Anxiety and ADHD.Together, we'll do a presentation which covers what ADHD and anxiety are (and what they aren't), the neuroscience behind why yoga is such a good fit for neurodivergent brains, and practical tips for finding your way on the mat — whether you're someone who suffers from anxiety, has ADHD yourself, or a teacher looking to make your classes more inclusive. We'll also do a short guided breathing exercise together, some postures and end with a short meditation. It's not a clinical talk. It's an honest one.
Arrive as you are, however fast or full your day has been. We’ll try some simple breathing practices to slow down and centre ourselves, quiet the mind, and come home to the body. In this space, let’s set an intention to grow with ease and peace, and leave a little lighter than we came.

The importance of psoas for our health, vitality and emotional well-being. The psoas is the deepest, most stabilizing muscle in the human body, which affects our structural balance, width of movement, joint mobility and functioning of the abdominal organs. It's the only muscle that connects the spine to the legs, responsible for keeping us standing and allowing us to lift our legs to walk. A healthy psoas stabilizes the spine and provides support through the trunk, also forming a good shelf for the abdominal organs. Some recent studies also consider the psoas, a perceptive organ composed of bio-intelligent tissue that literally embodies our deepest desire to survive and thrive. That is, it is the primary messenger of the central nervous system, so it is also considered as a spokesperson of emotions. This is because the psoas is connected to the diaphragm via the connective tissue or fascia, so it is affected in both breathing and reflection fear. An accelerated lifestyle and stress generate adrenaline that chronically strain the psoas, preparing it to run, jump into action or shrink to protect us. If we constantly hold the psoas in tension due to stress, over time it begins to shorten and harden. This will make our posture and the functions of the organs that live in the abdomen difficult, leading to back pain, sciatica, disc problems, hip degeneration, painful periods or digestive problems. On the other hand, a tense psoas sends tension signals to the nervous system, interferes with fluid movement and affects diaphragmatic breathing. In fact, the psoas is so intimately involved in basic physical and emotional reactions, that when it is chronically tense, it is sending the body continuous signals of danger, so it can resonate in exhaustion of l the adrenal glands and immune system. This situation is aggravated by the way we sit or the postures of our daily habits, which reduce our natural movements and further constrain the muscle.
This one-hour class blends gentle yoga with the uplifting practice of Kirtan—call-and-response mantra chanting that opens the heart and calms the mind. We begin and end with the voice, using mantra to ground our practice and awaken presence. Kirtan offers a joyful expression of the Eight Limbs of Yoga, integrating breath, movement, meditation, and connection. The movement practice is slow and accessible, supporting release, breath awareness, and inner stillness. We close in community, chanting together—no singing experience needed, just an open heart.
Enjoy simple asanas that allow the body to receive the deep nourishment of release. During the class you will have massage techniques applied to your body with respect to your individual shapes, inviting a personalised experience. Bring allllll the props! You can absolutely attend without props, it is purely a recommendation as instructions will be provided on where to place them for your comfort.
This class is a slow, deeply nourishing practice designed to help you unwind and release tension. Discover how to spiritualise your yoga practice by moving from effortful action into relaxed movement, embodied awareness and Presence.Through guided movement, breath and awareness, you will cultivate inner stillness and gently disengage from stress-producing thought patterns, creating space to access a “zero-stress zone”; a state of ease, presence and deep listening within. You will be guided into an awareness of the Prana Body, experiencing prana as a living bridge between body, mind and Source Energy. As awareness deepens, the practice becomes less about achieving a posture and more about entering a state of inner stillness, spiritual attunement and luminosity of Being. One of the essential dimensions often missing from modern yoga is this movement inward, the spiritual dimension of returning to our essential nature. In the West, yoga can sometimes become focused on perfecting postures and, unintentionally, reinforcing the image of who we believe ourselves to be.The ancient yogic tradition emerged from deep states of meditation and an understanding that true transformation comes through purification of our misidentification with the self-image. Through surrender, embodied awareness, the cultivation of the subtle bodies, including the Prana Body, and the integration of higher spiritual principles into our lives, yoga begins to reveal itself as something far beyond a physical practice. It becomes a direct knowing, a felt experience of Sacred Presence. This is the journey from Practice to Presence — from doing yoga to Being the Presence.
Curious about the "why" behind your yoga practice? This 75minute workshop explores the fundamental principles of alignment that create greater stability, ease and confidence in your asana practice. Together we'll unpack key alignment concepts that can be applied across a wide range of postures, helping you move with greater awareness. There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask questions about specific poses you've struggled with or would like to better understand. Whether you're a dedicated student wanting to deepen your knowledge, or you are curious about a 200-hour yoga teacher training, this workshop offers a practical and accessible taste of the anatomy, biomechanics and teaching principles that underpin a safe and sustainable yoga practice.

Sophrology is a fascinating meditation technique that has been practised for decades in Europe, particularly in France, and is now becoming increasingly recognised in English-speaking countries. Jenni is currently one of only six qualified Sophrology practitioners in Australia. A session begins with breathwork and gentle movement, similar to yoga warm-ups, followed by a guided body scan to turn the mind inward and quieten mental chatter. Visualization techniques are then used to encourage new, positive thought patterns and support a greater sense of calm and wellbeing. The session concludes with a 10–15 minute sound bath using large crystal sound bowls. Participants often describe the resonant and immersive sounds as deeply relaxing, enjoyable and, at times, profoundly moving. Come and experience this unique combination of movement, breath, meditation, visualisation and sound, and discover the relaxing and transformative qualities of Sophrology with Jenni.
In Yoga Therapy we look at what is happening in the body in connection with what is happening in our life, and in our mind. We listen to the body, trust it, learn from it, and become connected with it. We look to understand the psychosomatic factors in the background of most health issues. We then use yogic tools (breathwork, meditation, stretching) to open up and release. Toby has 25yrs experience providing therapeutic programs for people with countless health conditions. Please bring your own along and let's talk about new ways to understand, and how to get to work.

Yoga is often experienced through the body — through movement, posture and breath. Yet beneath the physical practice lies a deeper invitation: to become still enough to experience what is present beyond the fluctuations of the mind. Patanjali begins his teachings with a profound definition of yoga:“Yogaś citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ” — Yoga is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind. But what does it truly mean to still the mind? Is it the absence of thought, or a shift in our relationship with the thoughts, patterns and movements that continually arise within us? In this one-hour talk, we will explore what yoga is and how to enter its inner dimension through an understanding of Patanjali’s eight-limbed path — not as a sequential study of the limbs, but as a map toward deeper inner awareness. At the centre of this journey is Prana — the vital life force. Through the awareness and cultivation of prana, we begin to experience the intimate relationship between body, breath, mind and spirit, including the subtle dimensions that are always available to us. As the mind becomes still and our awareness more refined, prana can be consciously studied, known, felt and experienced. Here is where meditation in motion begins, the intersection of doing & being. Our yoga practice becomes a vehicle for turning inward and revealing subtler dimensions of experience. When the fluctuations of the mind begin to settle, something else becomes possible: Presence. In that stillness, yoga becomes more than something we practise — it becomes a state of being; a movement from identification with the constantly changing mind toward a more direct recognition of awareness itself. This talk invites us to explore? What is yoga? Returning to yoga’s origins through Patanjali’s second Yoga Sutra — Yogaś citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ, the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind. The transition from doing yoga as a physical practice to experiencing yoga in its totality, Being. How to still the fluctuations of the mind and access the wisdom of Prana, as it is studied, known, activated and directly experienced. How to elevate your practice into a deeper dimension of awareness, depth and profound transformation. What is revealed when the mind is no longer dominating our experience, and the peace, presence and clarity that can emerge from that stillness. Ultimately, this is an exploration of yoga as an inner awakening, a journey toward stillness, Presence and the recognition of what is already here beneath the movements of the mind.
