Julie has more than 3 decades of Yoga practice, study & teaching, Her classes are designed for the individual as well as the group and draw upon appropriate practices for each season to enhance one’s wellbeing. Julie began practicing Hatha Yoga in London in the 80’s and then on moving to Melbourne discovered & fell in love with the teachings of Okido Yoga. Julie studied and began teaching at the Carlton Okido Dojo in 1986 under the guidance of Takao Nakazawa who brought these practices to Melbourne. She continued with her studies and completed a Diploma of Yoga Teacher Training with the IYTA (International Yofa Teacgers Association) in 1989.
Julie has taught Yoga in many settings including Yoga studios, Community centres and schools & kindergatens both here in Melbourne in Switzerland & the United States. She is passionate about the benefits of Okido Yoga & the intention of her classes is to encourage others to open their heart, relieve anxiety whilst cultivating resilience and forging a connection with others.
